imageMichelle Yue is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a certified C.L.A.S.S. Evaluator.  She has worked as a trainer in the Washington, DC area since 2006.  Initially, she opened her own business, Good Dog DC, and worked with private clients on behavior issues such as fear, anxiety, and aggression.  Since joining the League in 2010, she has shifted her focus to working mainly with shelter animals and their adopters.  Current behavior programs include Match II assessments, Meet Your Match, the Open Paw Program, the WARL Certified Dog Trainer program, and a public group class program that runs classes 6 days per week.

class=“left”Alexandra Dilley is currently a graduate student at Hunter College in New York City studying Animal Behavior and Conservation.  She received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College.  Alexandra was first introduced to WARL as a volunteer.  During her time here as a volunteer, she worked closely with the training program.  As her interest in behavior grew, she applied to and graduated from the Humane Domain dog trainer program.  She started officially working at WARL in early 2011.  She is on schedule to graduate from Hunter College in spring of 2013.

imageLisa Henderson came to WARL in fall of 2011.  She graduated from Beacon College in Florida with a degree in Human Services.  She has previous experience working in animal welfare, as she spent two years working for a shelter in Arkansas.  Lisa also has doggy daycare experience, vet tech experience, is a certified groomer, and has completed a national dog training certification program.  She will be testing for her Certified Professional Dog Trainer certification in 2013.

class=“left”Lisa Stemcosky started at WARL in 2009 as a volunteer.  During her time as a volunteer, she worked closely with both our medical center and our behavior and training staff.  Lisa is also a WARL Certified Dog Trainer.  She began employment at WARL as the volunteer manager and helped to quadruple the existing program.  At the end of 2012, she transferred into the training department where she can pursue her true passion of canine and feline behavior.  She will be testing for her Certified Professional Dog Trainer certification in 2013.

class=“left”Lee Talisman came to the League two and a half years ago as a volunteer. She has lived in the DC area for over 30 years and has worked in law firm recruiting, has taught preschoolers in a Nursery School, and has taught ESL to adult learners as well. She earned her Master’s in Counseling Psychology a few years ago.  Lee is also a WARL Certified Dog Trainer.  She will be testing for her Certified Professional Dog Trainer certification in 2013.
