Twelfth Annual “Presents for Paws” Collection Drive Under Way

The holiday season has arrived and many of us are looking forward to celebrating with both two- and four-legged family and friends. Sadly, some pet parents don’t have the financial resources to give their feline or canine companions toys, supplies…or even food.

That’s why the Washington Animal Rescue League is conducting our annual holiday pet food and supply drive, Presents for Paws. Together we can help! For the twelfth straight year, our goal is to collect food, treats, toys, beds, and other items for cats and dogs belonging to our low-income neighbors who are finding it difficult to care for their pets in this economic climate.

We’ve placed collection boxes at the 14 area pet supply stores and other participating businesses listed below. Between now and Christmas week, you can help fill these boxes with the items listed above, which will be distributed to clients of our Medical Center through our Project Rescue Food Bank. The pets and their people will thank you!
