League Featured in Episode of TLC’s New Show: ‘DC Cupcakes’

The Washington Animal Rescue League is featured in an entire episode of TLC’s newest show, ‘DC Cupcakes’, and the ratings are in: our episode, ‘Cupcakes and Puppies’, had 1.158 million viewers the night it premiered! According to the TLC Web site, “DC Cupcakes shares the recipe to Sophie and Katherine’s sweet success, following their journey as they navigate the challenges and rewards of building a booming cupcake business. Each half-hour episode goes beyond the frosting to capture the behind-the-scenes drama in their fast paced, family-owned bakery.”

The League is featured in the episode entitled “Cupcakes and Puppies”, which shows the Georgetown Cupcake sisters baking a sheepdog made entirely of cupcakes that is unveiled at the League’s Rescue Me Gala. The show premiered on Friday, July 16 at 10:30 p.m. on TLC, and the show will play Friday nights at 10 p.m. on TLC.
