2009 Annual Report

The events of 2009 seem like distant history, but it, was a truly remarkable year.  And so, for the first time ever, we have captured the major happenings and achievements of a year in the life of the League in an annual report.  We are pleased to share it with all our supporters who played such a vital role in realizing these accomplishments.

In the report, you’ll read about some amazing rescues of animals and some urgently needed assistance rendered to people and animals in desperate need.  But you should know that these are but a few of the thousands of similar stories we could have told—all thanks to you.  Without your essential support, the Washington Animal Rescue League would have been unable to shelter the abandoned animals, bind their wounds, and find them the homes they need and deserve. Nor would we have been able to help any of our low-income neighbors who rely on our assistance in order to keep and care for their pets.

The League wishes to express its deep appreciation to writer/editor Caroline Taylor and graphic designer Marc Meadows for their amazing efforts to help put together this report.  They generously donated their time and talents to us on a pro bono basis.  Many thanks, Caroline and Marc!
