The Humane Society of the US’s Taking Action for Animals Student Summit
The first-ever Taking Action for Animals Student Summit invited high school and College students to speak up for animals. Workshops on Sunday, July 25 cover topics such as puppy mills, factory farming, student animal protection clubs, networking, and other forms of activism. Then participants put these new skills and knowledge to work with a day of lobbying on Capitol Hill on Monday, July 26. Registration can be done online at http://www.humanesociety.org/about/events/tafa/. Cost is $25 for Sunday sessions, and $35 for both days.
