Partnership Friday at Politics and Prose

Create a stack of books for winter reading or get a jump on early holiday purchases while helping the animals at the Washington Animal Rescue League. Just shop at Politics and Prose bookstore (5015 Connecticut Avenue, NW, DC) on Friday, November 9, between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., and tell the cashier that you want your purchase to benefit the League. They will donate 20 percent of your purchase to our Humane Education program.

League staff and volunteers will be there with pre-selected books for you to purchase and donate to classrooms at West Education Center in DC, where we conduct do humane education.

And if you’re there between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m., stop by our truck, which will be parked outside, and meet some of our adoptable animals looking for their forever homes.
