Book Reading with Author Jim Gorant

On Thursday, November 4 from 7pm – 8pm the League will be hosting Jim Gorant, senior editor at Sports Illustrated and author of the New York Times bestseller The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick’s Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption. The book explores the harrowing and heartwarming stories of the 51 pit bulls rescued from America’s most notorious dog fighting bust, going behind scenes to bring readers closer to these warm and resilient animals and the people who fought so hard to save them, including those who received care here at the League. Mr. Gorant will give a short presentation, take questions and sign books.
