Ingrid Newkirk, PETA founder and president, will talk about the “have’s” — those dogs and cats who people think have it made, but do they? — and the “have not’s”— the dogs and cats who, in the 21st century, are treated as if they were inanimate objects.  Come and learn what’s going on around the world and in our own backyard.  Ms. Newkirk is author of 14 books, including the newly released “Compassionate Cook,” “Making Kind Choices,” and “Let’s Have a Dog Party,” which will be on sale to benefit the Washington Animal Rescue League after the talk.
