Here are some success stories of our recently-adopted pit bulls:

image“Trix is working out beautifully and is a member of our family. She was meant to be with us and we adore her. She has the sweetest temperament and her breed does not deserve its bad reputation. We were so lucky to find her :). Thanks again!” - Trix’s new family

“Crow is a pitbull mix and he’s the best dog I’ve ever had” - Crow’s new family

When we adopted, we were not looking for Pits.  I just fell in love with them and If I ever get another dog, it will be a Pit-bull.” - Radar’s new family (who also adopted Tuke-above)

image “I brought Rocko home on Valentine’s Day 2010, and he’s the best Valentine I ever got. Sweetest disposition, he wants to say HELLO to everyone and every dog he sees. He has no concept that some people and dogs might find this 55 lb. rocket hurtling towards them frightening or intimidating. Fortunately, when they see his full-body wiggle, even the most intimidated realize he’s all love and friendliness. Rocko’s best friend is Elsa, a Staffordshire Terrier a friend adopted from WARL back in 2008. When I take him to visit her, they sprint up and down the hill out the back door and rugby tackle each other at full speed. They run each other ragged and end up curled up entwined like Yin & Yang in their blessed fatigue. We couldn’t be happier.” - Rocko’s new family

image “Downtown Leroy Brown Abou-Samra has been a wonder and a pleasure in our home. We picked him up at WARL just over a month ago and have had a load of fun adventures since. He is handsome and polite, gentle and relaxed, inquisitive and adventurous while all the while completely respectful of me and my wife.” -Leroy’s new family

image “We adopted Ruby from WARL in January and are so happy we did. She is a wonderful addition to our family. We have always had big dogs but last year we lost our Shepherd of 13 years and needed a companion for our other dog. I went to WARL with my son, he was looking for a dog. I was not sure I was ready yet, but when I meet Ruby I knew she was the one. I filled out the papers came back the next day with my husband and he loved her at first sight too. Ruby is so friendly and lovable. She loves to give kisses.” -Ruby’s new family
