The Washington Animal Rescue League’s annual open house.

Visit one of the largest, most active and innovative animal rehabilitation and adoption centers in the country. Low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic on Saturday, October 25, 9:30 - 12:00. Shelter open house with Haunted Shelter, fun activities, light refreshments, animal portraits on Sunday, October 26, 12:00 - 4:00. Bring friends and family. Dogs welcome, too! Admission is free.

On Sunday, June 1st, 600 people and 200 dogs covered the American University quad for the fourth annual Mutts Strut. The event netted over $50,000 for the League, setting new records for both individual and team fundraising efforts.
Judi Zeigler won the prize for top individual fundraiser: two roundtrip tickets on Southwest airlines and a stay at Choice Hotels International at a destination of her choice. The top fundraising team, Forget Me Not, won a catered party courtesy of Domino’s Pizza and Flying Dog Ale.
