Animals in Foster Care
To help our animals prepare even better for life in a home, the League has established a great foster program. All types of animals can be in foster care, whether it’s a litter of kittens that are too young to be placed for adoption, or a dog whose just had surgery and needs a quiet place to recover. Fostering a pet allows the animal to adjust to a home environment where they can thrive.
“Fostering for WARL is truly a great experience. WARL offers the most comprehensive foster support – from providing any medical assistance to promotion to placement- and a WARL staff member is with you every step of the way. Fostering does have some challenges but the rewards are amazing. And the best part of fostering is being a major player in animal rescue work- By opening your home to a foster animal WARL can then rescue and save more animals.” —Mary Ann, foster volunteer
